Pancakes was featured in the June 2008 Arts and Science Magazine.
Also, two University of Virginia Ph.D. alumnus, Brian Fiske and Todd Sherer, are working with the Michael J. Fox Foundation to help those suffering with Parkinson's Disease. .

Thanks to all those that came out September 29, 2007! Over $16,000 was raised the day of the event and the total amount raised was over $45,000 -- which is amazing!
2007 Pancakes Event Statistics
The Estimates:
Average. pancake size 5" --> 85 pancakes/bag
Batter was, on average, thinner, so that might contribute to a 10% increase in production per bag --> 93.5 pancakes/bag
Some batter, say 3% of each bag, was inevitably wasted --> 90.7 pancakes/bag
The Math
80 bags x 90.7 pancakes/bag= 7256 Pancakes
That's a lot of pancakes! In fact, that is 30 pancakes every minute, or 1 pancake every 2 seconds. We served 2 pancakes per person, so that's 1 person every 4 seconds.

1 Person/ 4 seconds x 14400 seconds in the event= 3600 people served
